  • Notes
    • In Shoemaker Pioneers, Second Edition, Page 75, the author writes that there in 1597, there was a small Minnonite village at Monschau, in the Rhine Province of Germany, Just south of Aachen and a few miles east of the Belbium fromtier, (French - "Montjoie" and "Aix"). In this village there is a Henrich Schumacher and his wife (name not mentioned) and Arndts (Arnold) Henric and his wife, Dedenborn.

When persecution rises again the Minnonites, these Minnonite families move to Dollendorf, which is near Lowenburg in the Siebengebirge hills on the east bank of the Rhine River, south of Cologne. It is at Dollendorf that Arnold's widow and his sons Peter and George first appear.

Admins' note - Could Henrich Schumacher be Arnold's parents? - Charlie Vines - Site Administrator.
